Activate taught me what works, but most importantly, I was given examples, worksheets, practice with another person, and feedback in order to learn how to actually implement these effective tools. I've read many articles on effective leaders, their characteristics, their successes, etc. during my graduate program but even those articles did not give such explicit instruction on how to become those types of leaders.
Activate gave me step-by-step instructions and opportunities to practice tools to be a better leader and unlock the potential in myself and my team. But this doesn't mean it's a cookie-cutter formula - the strategy of becoming the best leader I could be started with my own individual strengths, analyzing how they are working for me, and how to tap into them as effectively as possible.

We’ve compiled a list of commonly asked questions about Activate, who it’s for, and what exactly you’ll receive.
Who was Activate designed for? Who shouldn’t enroll in Activate?
Activate was designed with the new manager in mind. It is the foundation for being a great people manager. However, we have had clients who have been leading people for 15+ years and they also experienced meaningful transformation by using Activate as a way to evolve their leadership style.
Activate might not be for you if you...
→ don't believe in development (you'd be surprised).
→ are not ready to lean into the work (whether that’s because of interest or bandwidth).
→ are not committed to showing up to the group coaching sessions.
→ are not ready to own your part and try new things.
What exactly will I receive inside Activate? How long is my access?
Activate is a 12-week, online group coaching program loaded with training materials such as video lessons, key takeaways, fillable PDF worksheets, quizzes, and so much more. Through 3 Phases and 9 Sessions, we will go through 56 different lessons. There is a group coaching call at the end of each session to further solidify your learning and give you an opportunity to ask questions and receive 1:1 support. At the end, you’ll receive an Activate LinkedIn badge to boost your profile! You’ll retain access to everything in Activate for one full year.
How much time will this take?
The entire program lasts 12-weeks in total. There are 3 week long sessions per Phase. Each Session varies in length, with 5-9 video lessons per session (there are 56 individual lessons in total). Some videos are just a few minutes long, while others may be up to 20 minutes in duration. Each Session includes 1 worksheet and 1 quiz. While the quiz was designed to be quick and easy, the worksheets will vary depending on the person and their commitment to the coursework. After each Session we take a 1-week break.
What tech do I need to have in order to access Activate?
Activate is located inside a secure membership site, which can be accessed from any device with an internet connection – desktop computers or laptops are recommended. The group coaching calls will take place on Zoom, which is free video conferencing software. You will need to access a PDF reader (if you want to fill in the worksheets digitally), or you can print them to fill out instead.

What kind of support will I receive?
Throughout the 12-week program, you’ll receive 9 group coaching calls. If you have any questions or need support between calls, you can reach out to Carrie by email with your questions or during one of your 2 private strategy sessions. Coaching calls will be the perfect time to work through your challenges, make your mistakes, and try new things.
If you fall behind on your learning modules, we encourage you to still attend the group coaching. We will never shame you. We will only support and encourage you.
What if I need support to receive funding from my company?
Most companies these days offer reimbursement for continuous learning opportunities and programs like ACTIVATE — and we want to help you take advantage.
We’ve prepared a guide to help you approach the conversation, including an email template that you can use to send to your company.
We hope you’re able to get a reimbursement — but if not, don’t be afraid to invest in yourself anyway. It’s easy and even comfortable to accept the status quo during times of uncertainty, but we have to make an ongoing effort to move forward — to focus on our personal development. Especially now.
